To sustain higher milk production in a mare this ration needs to bed a higher level. Foals will develop quickly if a higher rate of gain is needed or for training or yearling sale. If rib cover or more condition is needed in colder weather this can be an excellent ration. Always ensure bone development is good yet do not push excessive condition, controlled and steady growth is critical. If you suspect joint issues drop the broodmare and growth ration to a lower level and add in a ration balancer to fortify diet.
